Many eyes will be focused Sunday on furry prognosticators -- locally, we're kind of partial to Queen Charlotte, the groundhog at the Charlotte Nature Museum -- to find out whether we'll get an early spring or shiver through six more weeks of winter. (Seeing a shadow means a longer winter.)
But we thought we'd have a little fun with the annual tradition. In addition to the weather forecasts from our furry friends, we want to see photos of your shadow.
So as you're out and about on Sunday -- and thankfully, it'll feel nice with a high around 60 degrees -- snap a photo of your shadow. That is, if you can find it.
Be as creative as you want to be and then upload the photo by clicking here to go to the submission page. Your entry won't automatically go online. It will be reviewed by an editor, and then will join a slideshow, which you can look at here
So send us photos of your shadow. We promise not to blame you for a longer winter.
