Observer photographer John D. Simmons has photographed all sorts of critters in his yard for the better part of a year. Here's a slideshow featuring some of his images.
We want to see your photos, too. In fact, you can enter your photos to win a $50 gift certificate to The Home Depot or Lowe's. Readers will vote for a winner and The Observer photo staff will select a winner from the finalists.
Your pictures can be anything from bugs to birds, but they have to be from your yard. The deadline for photos is noon Monday, Dec. 13. The voting deadline is noon Friday, Dec. 17. Winners will be notified by end of day Friday, Dec. 17.
