How does this contest work?


Submit your best spring photo. The theme is 'Spring has Sprung in the Carolinas'. The photo must have been shot in Spring 2013 and must show the beauty of the Carolinas in the spring season. Winners will receive a $75 gift card to Target.

Can I enter more than one photo?

Yes, as long as your entry falls in the submission period, which ends Wednesday, April 17 at midnight. The voting period ends Friday, April 19 at midnight. Winners will be notified by the Observer.

Are there prizes?

Yes, there will be two winners of $75 gift cards to Target: 1) an editor's choice winner selected by the Observer's photography staff, and 2) a reader's choice winner selected by reader votes in this contest. Note: Voting will require registration.

In addition, Observer editors will select a collection of the best photos to appear in an online slideshow.

The deadlines?

Photos must be submitted Wednesday, April 17 at midnight. Voting will continue until Friday, April 19 at midnight.
